Coloured Concrete

Coloured concrete is our standard readymix with oxide colour added at the plant. The colour goes right through the slab, not just the top. If it chips, it’s the same colour underneath.

We batch every load at Broadford. Most customers pick their colour from the sample boards in our yard, and you’re welcome to come and have a look before you order.

One tip: order the whole job at once if you can. Colour can shift slightly between pours done on different days, so one continuous pour gives the most even result.

Our Colour Range

Popular Colours

These are the nine colours we're asked for most. Screens never show concrete colour properly, so check the real samples at our Broadford yard before you decide.

Ask About a Colour
  • Charcoal

A common driveway pick. Hides tyre marks well.

  • Slate Grey

A modern mid grey that suits rendered homes.

  • Midnight Black

    Very dark. Looks best sealed.

  • Pewter

A warmer grey than plain concrete.

  • Sandstone

Light and natural. Good around pools.

  • Latte

    Creamy beige for alfresco areas.

  • Mushroom

An earthy taupe that sits well next to brick and timber.

  • Terracotta

Warm red. Reseal regularly to keep it bright.

  • Ochre

Golden brown. Suits bush and rural settings.

Colours are a guide only. Final shade depends on finish, curing and sealer.

Questions We Get Asked

Same thing. No fines, permeable, pervious and popcorn concrete all mean a mix with the sand left out.

It needs compacted crushed rock or gravel underneath, deep enough to hold water while it soaks away. On clay, the base usually has to be deeper or have a drain outlet.

For cars and utes, yes. It isn’t strong enough for regular truck traffic or heavy machinery.

Thicker than a standard slab for the same job, because the mix is weaker.

Slowly, if dirt keeps landing on it. Garden beds that wash onto the slab are the usual culprit. Sweep it regularly and it will keep draining for years.
